Ironman 70.3 (New Hampshire)
Matt left active duty in 2015 after serving nine years in the Marine Corps as an AH-1W pilot and an Air Officer / Forward Air Controller. He deployed several times in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM. Matt is now a USMC reservist, a defense contractor, and a graduate student at Tufts’ Fletcher School. In his spare time he likes to surf, swim, bike, run, and attempt to make things out of wood.
Mike Harris is an active duty Marine who spent eight years in the AV-8B Harrier community. Mike began as an enlisted AV-8B aircraft mechanic where he deployed in 2002 to support Operation ENDURING FREEDOM in Afghanistan. He later graduated from The Citadel in South Carolina and earned his commission. After completing flight school, he returned to the AV-8B Harrier as a pilot, where he again deployed in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM in 2012 with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit. Mike is an avid mountain-ultra-trail runner, cyclist, father, and free thinker. Mike and his wife Rachel have three children and live in Monterey, California, where he is pursuing a master’s degree at the Naval Postgraduate School.
